Global Marketing and Communications Director
James is a member of the Lombard International leadership team, responsible for global marketing and communications, supporting the growth and development of the group in Europe, the US, Latin America and Asia.
James leads corporate communications, media relations, digital and social media, internal communications, brand, group marketing, marketing production, and the events & sponsorship team.
Before joining Lombard International, James was the Group Marketing and Communications Director at FNZ, a private equity-backed global financial technology company which powers the wealth management, administration and custodian platforms of major financial institutions (including retail and private banks, asset and wealth managers, insurers and financial adviser groups) across Europe, Asia and Australasia.
Prior to FNZ, James was Group Communications Director at Friends Life Group where he led the global communications team (based in the UK, Isle of Man, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai) responsible for corporate communications, reputation management, media and PR, social media, internal communications; and overseeing the Group’s subsidiary businesses’ communications teams.
He’s experienced in leading large scale organisational change, transformation, commercial development and communication programmes including mergers, acquisitions, divestments and tendering for new business.
James has a sales and marketing background and was Head of Business Development responsible for winning, implementing and managing new large corporate partnerships.
He’s a Chartered Insurer, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Insurance and has a BSc (Hons) in Business.
